About the Role

We are seeking motivated and outgoing Solar Setters to join our growing sales team. The Solar Setter is responsible for generating and qualifying residential solar leads by engaging directly with homeowners, educating them on the benefits of solar energy, and scheduling qualified appointments for the Closing Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are confident communicators, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Prior solar or sales experience is preferred but not required-we are willing to train the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with homeowners through door-to-door outreach and other approved lead-generation methods.
  • Introduce homeowners to solar energy and explain its potential benefits, including energy savings and energy independence.
  • Identify and qualify homeowners who may be interested in a solar consultation.
  • Ask appropriate questions to understand the homeowner's needs and determine basic eligibility.
  • Schedule qualified appointments for the Closing Team.
  • Accurately enter and maintain lead and appointment information in the company's designated CRM or sales platform.
  • Follow up with leads and scheduled appointments as required.
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with homeowners at all times.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly lead-generation and appointment-setting goals.
  • Represent the company and its brand professionally in the community.
  • Follow all company policies, sales procedures, safety requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with Setters, Closers, and Sales Leadership to maximize qualified opportunities.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident and comfortable speaking with homeowners.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods.
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills.
  • Previous experience in solar, sales, canvassing, customer service, or lead generation is a plus.
  • No prior solar experience required; training may be provided.

Compensation

  • This is a performance-based, commission-driven position with earning potential tied to qualified appointments and successful sales outcomes.
