Job description

The Fleet Account Sales Manager is responsible for driving fleet sales growth by developing new assigned national accounts, managing existing accounts, and developing relationships with key accounts and customers. This role requires a proactive approach to identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed fleet sales targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential fleet customers, including corporations, government agencies, and local businesses.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key fleet accounts to ensure long-term business partnerships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for fleet customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing ongoing support.
  • Regularly engage with customers to understand their fleet requirements and offer tailored solutions.
  • Work alongside your Aftermarket Sales Counterpart to develop the business with assigned accounts 360, commonly referred to as a "One Team" sales strategy.
  • Prepare and present proposals and contracts to fleet customers, ensuring alignment with their needs and objectives.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions of fleet sales contracts to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Close sales deals and ensure all contractual obligations are met by both parties.
  • Work withing the Rush Customer Relations Manager (CRM) base system

Education and/or Experience Required 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet sales, commercial sales, or a related field in the automotive industry.
  • Must possess a current and valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Consideration is given to relevant experience and related certification.
