Job description

The Government Fleet Regional Sales Manager (GOV) is a revenue-generating sales position responsible for the direct sales of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram vehicles to dealers and government entities, maximizing sales and revenue with existing government customers while developing new business with prospective accounts.
The Government Fleet Regional Sales Manager (GOV) develops and implements sales strategies to support the established targets in his/her region. Responsibilities include maintaining and building volume with existing government customers, developing strategies to conquest new accounts, implementing and maintaining consistent prospecting methods, developing strategies to overcome customer objections and provide solutions, providing customer support to reduce order to delivery, supporting customers with cost control reduction (TCO) initiatives and providing customers with accurate and timely updates on Stellantis programs including: ordering/production schedules, incentives, Service Net, etc.
The Government Fleet Regional Sales Manager (GOV) will work closely with dealers to obtain dealership commitments, demonstrate government sales opportunities and revenue streams (in all departments), and act as a liaison to support dealers and government customers. They will manage and provide consultation on the dealership's inventory and will train and support the dealership's government fleet account department so the dealership can support small, medium and larger sized fleet customers.
In addition, the Government Fleet Regional Sales Manager (GOV) is responsible for developing effective local events to promote product awareness and sales, providing accurate monthly forecasts of production requirements, supporting local government sales initiatives, and promoting dealership fiscal responsibility. The candidate will regularly hold dealer meetings within the region of responsibility and ensure government fleet sales are reported correctly by performing audits and making corrections where appropriate.
This position requires the development of strong working relationships with government fleet management representatives, upfitters, and dealerships supporting local government events and organizations, providing input on future product content and process changes to maximize competitiveness and managing multiple priorities and aggressive timelines.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive fleet sales or automotive B2B
  • Knowledge or experience with dealership commercial or government fleet sales processes
  • Commercial or Government fleet vehicle product knowledge
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to overcome market challenges and exceed goals under minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • New business development experience
  • Excel in building positive working relationships
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to Northwest Region (CA - Northern, ID, OR or WA)
  • Willing and able to travel up to 60% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:
  • OEM field sales experience
  • Experience/relationship/understanding of commercial and government fleet equipment upfitters
