They also handle scheduling, track vehicle usage, and may be involved in driver management and safety programs. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a fleet administrator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Fleet Administrator, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of fleet management practices, often supported by a relevant associate’s degree or experience in logistics. Familiarity with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are typically required, and certifications like the NAFA Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) can be advantageous.
