Job description

Buffalo Biodiesel is in growth mode and are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join our team and oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and performance of our commercial truck fleet.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and manage heavy truck preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Prioritize and follow up with mechanics in the fleet truck shop
  • Supervise DOT, HUT, and IFTA books and records for fleet audits
  • Supervise dispatching and manage 10–25 drivers and trucks daily
  • Hiring, Firing and direct management of all drivers and repair staff
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulations
  • Support operational efficiency and driver performance
  • Utilize tracking and dispatch software to monitor fleet activity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred
  • 5 years of Fleet Management experience
  • 5 years of Driver Management experience
  • Experience repairing and troubleshooting commercial trucks
  • Experience with hiring, onboarding, and terminations
  • Strong working knowledge of tracking and dispatch software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with drivers and mechanics
  • Clean motor vehicle report

Schedule: Monday - Friday (7am - 4pm) and Saturday (7am - 12pm)

Salary: $150,000 per year
