About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Fleet Supervisor to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a designated shift, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles and drivers. You will play a key role in optimizing resource allocation and maximizing driver/vehicle productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily shift operations: Monitor driver schedules, track vehicle locations, and respond to real-time issues such as traffic delays, accidents, or mechanical problems.

  • Manage driver assignments: Allocate drivers to appropriate routes, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and minimizing idle time.

  • Communicate effectively: Maintain clear and concise communication with drivers, operations management, and other company staff via phone, text and other communication channels.

  • Monitor driver performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, fuel efficiency, and safety records.

  • Maintain accurate records: Document all shift activities, including driver assignments, vehicle movements, and any incidents.

  • Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with other groups to ensure seamless operations.

  • Identify and implement process improvements: Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations: Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements, including DOT regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced transportation or logistics environment, with supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, and other relevant technologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think quickly and decisively in high-pressure situations.

  • Proficiency in Gmail and the ability to pick up various apps and software as needed.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, especially Thursday-Sunday

Compensation:

  • $20-$24/hr
