Job description

Position Responsibilities:
To be a successful Fleet Supervisor you will need:
  • Approach work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and serving as an example of living our Producers Dairy purpose and core values.
  • Own and promote a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
  • Contribute and educate others in support our cost-conscious culture.
  • Lead the Fleet Maintenance Team to deliver the cost, quality, service, and reliability results.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repairs to ensure reliability of the fleet.
  • Support and contribute to the development and success of warranty and policy programs for recovery of expenses.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for vehicle maintenance using known best practices.
  • Assist in the direction of departmental activities in budget cycle requirements.
  • Lead compliance with or assisting in the establishment of programs, policies, and procedures to attract, develop, and retain a competent and motivated workforce, including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, training, engagement, performance management and coaching.
  • Assist in the development and leadership of short-and-long-range planning activities covering all aspects of fleet maintenance operations.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality are an essential function of this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements (Qualifications and Skills)
To be a successful Fleet Supervisor you will need:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of Fleet supervisory Experience
  • Strong and effective communication, math, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and must possess critical thinking skills and the ability to anticipate.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships within organization.
  • Strong sense of urgency. Should be driven and self-motivated.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities; meets deadlines and works well under pressure.
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Working knowledge of shop software (Dossier Systems), fueling systems (Gas Boy)

Preferred:
  • Associates Degree in Heavy Truck repair or similar field
  • ASE Technician Certifications
  • OEM Master Technician Certifications
  • California Class A Drivers License
  • CDL Tanker Endorsement
