Position Summary

As a Fleet Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles to ensure maximum safety, performance, and reliability. You'll work closely with the maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime and keep vehicles on the road.

Key Responsibilities of a Fleet Technician:Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative services on fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues.
  • Complete oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, and other scheduled maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot vehicle concerns and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Identify potential issues before they become major repairs.
Vehicle Inspections
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
  • Verify compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Document inspection findings and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Ensure vehicles meet quality and safety requirements before returning to service.
Fleet Support
  • Work with operations and maintenance teams to maximize vehicle availability.
  • Prioritize repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Assist with emergency repairs as needed.
  • Support overall fleet performance and reliability goals.
Documentation & Recordkeeping
  • Maintain accurate repair orders, maintenance records, and service reports.
  • Document inspections, repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all records are completed accurately and on time.
Shop Safety & Organization
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and best practices.
  • Properly use tools, equipment, and shop resources.
  • Assist in maintaining shop inventory and equipment.
What We're Looking for as a Fleet Technician:Required Qualifications
  • Experience as a Fleet Technician, Automotive Technician, Mechanic, Auto Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable work ethic and commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certifications or equivalent technical certifications.
  • Experience working on high-volume fleet vehicles.
