Job description

Strategic Growth Partners provides both operations & strategic support to tribal 8(a) & commercial organizations. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance & Accounting Associate to support the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and business finance processes. This position requires the person to be in the Redwood City office 3 days a week.
Workplace Type: Full-time, On-site, Redwood City, CA.
Compensation: $80K-$95K per year.
Accounting & Financial Operations (Primary Focus):
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate accounts payable and vendor payments.
• Support financial statement preparation in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support audits and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Accounts Receivable & Business Coordination:
• Coordinate with sales and finance teams for timely collections.
• Monitor overdue invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate customer account records.
Administrative & Cross-Functional Support:
• Support finance leadership with reporting and operational coordination.
• Assist with presentations and internal communications.
• Coordinate with auditors, vendors, and service providers.
