What are federal government jobs?
Federal government jobs are employment opportunities with national agencies and organizations. Elected positions are important in government, but non-elected civil servant jobs play a significant role as well. The military is one way to serve the country, but you can find a civilian job within a federal government department or agency. The qualifications and skills you need to be a civil servant vary depending on the position. Your job duties and responsibilities also depend on the civilian job you perform, such as economist, accountant, tax collector, criminal investigator, janitor, or secretary.

- Counsel, prepare and support internal stakeholders to plan for and engage in government affairs work to support business and industry topics.
- Represent Bosch in industry associations, coalition meetings, and policy forums to help advance company priorities and build industry relationships.
- Develop expertise across a broad range of policy issues affecting Bosch, including mobility, technology, manufacturing, trade, energy, workforce and innovation policy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align government affairs priorities with business objectives.
- Represent the company as an effective, authoritative spokesperson at meetings, hearings and industry events to effectively establish the company's position on key matters.
- Strong knowledge of compliance laws related to advocacy and commitment to abiding by all requirements.

- Experience on Capitol Hill, within the Executive Branch, trade associations, or government affairs organization is highly valued.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute with speed, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of federal legislative and regulatory processes and demonstrated ability to influence legislation and policy.
- Strong interest in the mobility and technology sectors, including emerging fields, sustainability, compliance and safety.
- Success in building and maintaining effective relationships with government officials and industry stakeholders.
