Job description

This position is responsible for facilitating the continuous feeding of materials to the extruders while supporting Operator A to ensure the production of quality rolls. This position requires a commitment to safety, quality standards, and the smooth operation of the manufacturing process in a risk-free environment. This position reports to the Extrusion Leader, Extrusion Supervisor, and Department Coordinator.

DESCRIPTION

  • Application of the Company’s Core Values in the work environment.
  • Ensure the continuous and efficient feeding of materials to the extruders without interruptions.
  • Assist Operator A in meeting production goals, ensuring that all rolls are produced according to specified quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by keeping the work area free from floor clutter.
  • Familiarity with the typers of resins used in production and understanding the associated quality standards.
  • Be aware of the various products manufactured in the area and ensure that they meet quality standards.
  • Understand the basic operation of machinery such as the extruder, winder, nip roll, treaters, and cage.

COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Capability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate interaction with various departments across the plant.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1+ years in a manufacturing environment, with preference given to experience in the plastics industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with plastics is desirable but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs multiple times throughout the day.
  • Must be able to work in hot areas.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor, with exposure to loud noises, machinery (including moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and scissor lifts), and varying temperatures. There may also be potential exposure to certain chemicals.
  • The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times.
  • Reliable personal transportation is required to travel between multiple facilities throughout the day.
