Job Role: Molding Manager – Injection Molding
Location: Snow Hill, NC
Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Molding Manager to lead injection molding operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, process improvement, and team development while ensuring efficient molding operations and on-time production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily injection molding operations across multiple shifts.
  • Manage, coach, and develop Process Technicians, Supervisors, and production personnel.
  • Oversee mold setups, machine startups, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, scrap reduction, cycle time improvements, and productivity.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Tooling, and Maintenance to resolve production challenges.
  • Support new product launches, mold trials, process validation, and manufacturing improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs, production schedules, labor utilization, and departmental performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of injection molding manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role managing molding operations.
  • Strong knowledge of mold setup, scientific molding, process optimization, troubleshooting, and engineering-grade resins.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Automotive, Tier 1, or other high-volume manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
