Description

Perform various required operations including: adhesive application; sorting and coating products; relieving operators on routine operations including molding and trimming; and performing other operations on a regularly occurring basis.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

1. Perform adhesive room operations including; taking pairs from racks/totes; placing on table by size in pairs; applying glue to soles using roller; loading pairs on conveyor/carousel racks; unloading dried adhesive pairs; placing in tote and recording number of pairs by size in totes. 

2. Operate trimmer as assigned to trim excess material (flash) from polyurethane and polyurethane/rubber products. Position sole to cutter, coordinating a high degree of concentration and manual dexterity. Rotate item to remove all excess material. Deposit finished items in appropriate totes and move to designated area.

3. Relieve polyurethane molding machine operators on routine operations as required, count and enter seconds into hand held scanner, assist service person as required.

4. Record data as instructed.

5. Detect and report unsafe conditions, other problems to Team Leader. Obey all safety rules, practices and procedures. Wear and employ all safety equipment and devices. Maintain equipment and work area in a neat and orderly manner.

6. Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of the job.

Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
