Senior Project Manager
Starr & Associates (S&A) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with management consulting experience to lead client engagements focused on supply chain analytics, business intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, operational improvement, and technology enabled initiatives. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects while ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management capabilities with consulting experience and the ability to lead cross functional teams. This individual will work directly with executive sponsors, business stakeholders, technical teams, and consulting resources to deliver initiatives involving supply chain operations, analytics, reporting, data platforms, AI solutions, and operational performance improvement programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagements from project initiation through delivery while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource plans, communication plans, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Apply project governance standards, reporting frameworks, issue management processes, and project controls.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive sponsors, business leaders, client stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Manage projects supporting supply chain analytics, inventory management, procurement, supplier performance, logistics, planning, reporting, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Lead projects involving business intelligence, data analytics, reporting modernization, dashboard development, data platforms, and AI solutions.
  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, constraints, and issues while developing mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate consulting resources, client personnel, vendors, and technical teams.
  • Develop and present project status updates, executive summaries, steering committee materials, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, utilization tracking, and financial management activities.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, status reviews, and decision-making sessions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered according to established methodologies, quality standards, and client expectations.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, Business, or related field.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading cross functional initiatives.
  • Prior management consulting or professional services experience required.
  • Experience managing analytics, technology, operational improvement, supply chain, business intelligence, or AI related initiatives.
Required Skills
  • Experience delivering client facing consulting services.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and PMO practices.
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience leading projects involving supply chain analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data management, technology implementations, or AI initiatives.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
