Job description

Project Executive – Residential Construction

Location: Columbus, OH (Relocation Assistance Available)

Compensation: $145,000 – $160,000 annually + Performance Bonuses

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Executive with a strong background in residential construction to lead project teams and drive construction management operations in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will oversee projects from inception to completion—ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maximizing profitability and client satisfaction. You will serve as the primary executive point of contact for contract negotiation, team mentorship, and customer relations.

What You’ll Do

  • Executive Project Leadership: Direct assigned residential construction projects, managing budgets, schedules, and contract negotiations to ensure profitable, on-time completion.
  • Team Mentorship: Directly supervise, mentor, and support Project Managers, fostering a high-performance team culture and assisting with hiring and training.
  • Client & Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point person for resolving project bottlenecks, managing stakeholder communications, and maintaining exceptional client relationships.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure company policies, safety standards, and construction procedures are consistently upheld across all job sites.
  • Business Development: Support strategic sales and marketing efforts to win new business and grow customer accounts.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Proven track record as a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, or similar leadership role with direct residential construction experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (OR an equivalent combination of 2–4 years of industry experience and training).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and project management software (Prolog preferred). Strong working knowledge of construction scheduling techniques (Primavera or SureTrack is a plus).
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong financial acumen, and the leadership presence to present effectively to executives, clients, and project teams.
