Job Summary

Under a general level of supervision, the Physical Security Project Mgr (PM) Associate (Assc) is accountable for the execution of Security projects of small size with low risk and low complexity. The Security PM Assc will manage scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of small size Security projects and budgets. The PM Assc employs their skills, talents, and knowledge of project management frameworks to assure high quality products are delivered while optimizing the cost and delivery of value. The PM Assc maintains complete transparency on the current state of the project, and maintains complete transparency on the forecast and actual cost and delivery. The PM Assc enables and promotes team level continuous improvement activities that increase quality and optimize delivery of value. Provides coordination and effective communication to execute, monitor and control, and close projects in a safe, effective, economical, risk-balanced approach to obtain maximum customer satisfaction. Develop relationships and effectively communicate with all stakeholders including internal customers, external customers, team members, suppliers, contractors, vendors, and industry peers.

Job Description

This position is designated as 70% onsite and 30% in the field. This is NOT a remote position.

Due to the collaborative nature of the role, frequent interaction with leadership, team members, business partners, and other stakeholders is essential to achieving business objectives and maintaining operational effectiveness. Will also require some overnight travel.

What You'll Do:

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:

  • Responsibilities include governance, alignment, assurance, management, integration, optimization, tracking finances, infrastructure, planning, and improvement.

  • Demonstrates some awareness of key Physical Security trends. With general guidance, considers alternative courses of action and selects best options according to intended security posture.

  • Identifies and resolves solutions to problems. Keeps Physical Security as the focal point during all activity.

  • Verify project scope and determine methods of managing and controlling for routine projects. Estimate, budget and control project cost for routine projects. Identify and manage project risk.

  • Build and coach project team.

  • Effectively communicate project details and status updates. Lead planning meetings and project updates with supportive role in stakeholder presentations. Provide clear and concise written reports.

  • Provide general guidance, instruction, and training to improve design, systems, procedures, schedules, and costs.

  • Assist the project team in effective and timely performance of project work activities.

What We're Looking For:

Education requirements are listed below:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Computer Science, Construction or related field, OR Associates degree with 2 years of related business or technical/project management experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years' of related business or technical/project management experience.

Work Experience requirement listed below:

  • Minimum of 2 years business experience which includes work in one or more of these areas: project estimating, project controls, construction field experience, and/or comparable external experience in addition to any educational experience identified above.

Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below:

  • Preferred certification aligned with project management discipline: PMP for traditional waterfall project managers, PSM (Scrum.org) or CSM (ScrumAlliance) for Agile Scrum.
