Job Title: Part time Administrative Assistant I (0.5 FTE)

Job Summary:

This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the mission of the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome, the largest academic center dedicated to Down syndrome research. As a member of the administrative team supporting the DS-Connect project, you will play an important role in advancing community engagement, education, and outreach efforts that connect individuals with Down syndrome, their families, researchers, and healthcare professionals. Your work will help ensure the successful execution of events and programs that raise awareness, foster inclusion, and support the Institute's efforts to improve health outcomes through research and collaboration.

In this dynamic, in-person role, you will gain hands-on experience coordinating conferences, webinars, and community events such as Buddy Walks, while working closely with the Crnic Institute and the Global Down Syndrome Foundation. Day-to-day responsibilities may include managing event supplies and promotional materials, assisting with event setup and registration, welcoming guests, introducing speakers, coordinating shipments, and supporting employee and affiliate appreciation initiatives. You will also have opportunities to develop professional, technology, networking, and volunteer leadership skills through participation in training programs and high-profile events, including the Global Down Syndrome Foundation's Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage conference, event, and promotional supplies, including inventory tracking, organization, ordering, and selection of new materials.

  • Support DS-Connect events, conferences, and Buddy Walks by coordinating booths, packing and shipping supplies, and assisting with event logistics.

  • Serve as an event representative by welcoming attendees and introducing speakers during webinars and in-person events.

  • Assist with Crnic Institute events by supporting setup and cleanup, managing registration, greeting guests, and coordinating with caterers and event vendors.

  • Administer the Crnic Institute Appreciation Program by recognizing employees, affiliates, speakers, and visitors through birthday greetings and thank-you communications.

  • Participate in Global Down Syndrome Foundation training, projects, and volunteer initiatives while developing professional, technical, networking, and advocacy skills.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to one (1) year
