Position Overview

Guardian Angels Catholic Parish is seeking a highly organized, welcoming, and detail-oriented Part-Time Event Coordinator to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of parish events and facility rentals throughout the year. This position plays an important role in creating welcoming, well-organized events that strengthen our parish community and support the mission of the Catholic Church.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who enjoys working with people, managing multiple projects, and ensuring every event is professionally organized and successfully executed.

Requirements:

Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee parish events throughout the year, including seasonal celebrations, parish gatherings, and special events.
  • Coordinate the parish's participation in community events, including booth presence at select town festivals.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for weddings, receptions, private parties, and other facility rentals in collaboration with clergy and parish staff.
  • Manage all aspects of parish facility rentals, including inquiries, scheduling, contracts, payments, setup coordination, and communication with renters.
  • Recruit, schedule, and coordinate volunteers to assist with parish events as needed.
  • Work closely with clergy, parish staff, ministry leaders, vendors, and volunteers to ensure successful event execution.
  • Maintain event calendars, rental schedules, contracts, and related records.
  • Coordinate facility setup and ensure spaces are prepared for events.
  • Ensure all parish events and facility rentals comply with parish policies and reflect the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
