Silver Hill New York is an intensive outpatient program in midtown Manhattan for patients with complex mental health and substance use disorders. The program delivers comprehensive assessment and personalized treatment for patients with complex mental health and addiction, with a particular focus on personality disorders and substance use. Our core program provides groups (dialectical behavioral therapy, mentalization based therapy, good psychiatric management and integrative harm reduction therapy), as well as a selection of individualized services, including high quality psychotherapy, med management, family therapy, case management, crisis management and beyond. Silver Hill New York will serve as an incubator for innovation at Silver Hill to deliver an innovative, data-informed clinical model and define a new standard for the treatment of complex patients in an outpatient setting.


Position Summary: The Evening Receptionist provides clerical and administrative support to the Silver Hill New York office, ensuring smooth front desk operations during evening hours. This per diem role is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and serves as a key point of contact for clients, staff, and incoming communications.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in clients in a warm, professional manner, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
  • Maintain and replenish coffee and snack stations as needed
  • Sort, organize, and distribute incoming mail; upload insurance documentation into the Sheer Health portal
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and client lounge areas, including light cleaning such as vacuuming
  • Provide administrative and operational support to clinicians during evening groups
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to walk, sit, work at a desk, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, bend, walk up and down stairs, talk, hear, and see. Employee must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds, over short distances
  • Work Environment: Most work is performed inside of the office setting
