Job Purpose:
Responsible for establishing, streamlining, and managing processes, procedures and programs related to escrow operations and support functions. Manage and lead teams who perform a wide range of duties related to escrow operations. Manage processes and policies. Partners with and acts as a liaison between groups to ensure that compliance, policy adherence, production goals, and timelines are met. Ensures employee conformance to established practices and proper training of staff. Responsible for operational functions related to providing escrow services to customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages work activities and escrow operational/support functions.
  • Acts as a liaison with Escrow/Branch managers and leaders of other functions/operations/ business units and provides feedback and resolution on escalated issues, process issues/changes and results.
  • Development of WFG company culture that emphasizes employee engagement, our 4 C's, quality of work, key employee retention and high performance.
  • Completes real estate escrow transactions by: determining requirements, clearing titles; assembling, preparing and reviewing closing documents; communicates to all parties; disbursing funds.
  • Performing closings at Branch Location as well as other locations as necessary.
  • Plan, assign, direct and evaluate the work of branch staff.
  • Oversees and influences employee pay, promotion, performance management, recruiting functions, and workforce planning.
  • Audit escrow files to verify closings are being processed in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Assist with sensitive customer relations problems and resolving customer complaints. Answer complex questions regarding escrow and closings.
  • Responsibility for providing effective financial controls for the Branch Office; oversees accounting functions. Keeps Management informed of potential claims or loss situations.
  • Closes escrow account by balancing and disbursing funds.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum of ten years running a profitable escrow desk including supervision of staff.
  • Thorough understanding of escrow law, local city and state requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of RESPA, TILA, Dodd-Frank and CFPB rules.
  • Thorough understanding and adoption of ALTA Best Practices.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratio's and proration's) to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Excellent written communication skills to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to manage multiple actions as once; flexibility to reprioritize quickly.
  • Actively engage in personal growth development.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), ten years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination or education and experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and escrow production software e.g. ResWare, RamQuest, AtClose, IClosings and/or others.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret in English.
  • Strong customer service skills; demonstrate excellent comprehension and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple actions as once; flexibility to reprioritize quickly.

Work Environment:

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Days and hours of full -time position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Part-time positions will be considered.
