Job Summary:
Oversee the daily operations of the escrow department, with a specialized focus on tax administration, escrow analysis, FHA Mortgage Insurance (MI), Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI), insurance monitoring, and loss draft administration. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, accuracy in borrower accounts, and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of escrow specialists, insurance analysts, and loss draft specialists
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and quality metrics
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Partner with leadership on departmental strategy and process improvements
  • Oversee escrow account setup, maintenance, and disbursements (taxes, insurance, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate and timely escrow analyses, including annual and off-cycle reviews
  • Monitor escrow shortages, surpluses, and borrower communications
  • Manage property tax tracking, payment processing, and exception handling
  • Resolve tax discrepancies, delinquencies, and jurisdictional issues
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements
  • Review and validate escrow calculations, projections, and account adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with RESPA and investor guidelines
  • Identify trends and implement corrective actions to reduce errors
  • Oversee hazard, flood, and other required insurance policy tracking and compliance
  • Ensure timely renewal, adequate coverage, and accurate policy data maintenance
  • Manage force-placed insurance processes, including notifications and cancellations
  • Resolve insurance discrepancies and work with borrowers, agents, and carriers
  • Oversee the end-to-end loss draft process, including claim intake, inspection, and fund disbursement
  • Ensure timely and compliant release of insurance claim funds based on repair progress
  • Monitor large loss claims, contractor documentation, and lien waivers
  • Mitigate risk by ensuring proper controls, fraud prevention, and investor compliance
  • Oversee FHA MI premium calculations, remittance, and reconciliation
  • Manage PMI lifecycle including activation, cancellation, and borrower requests
  • Ensure compliance with FHA, GSE, and investor-specific MI/PMI requirements
  • Utilize ICE Mortgage Technology platforms (e.g., Encompass, MSP, or related tools) for escrow operations
  • Drive system optimization, reporting, and workflow automation
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors on enhancements and issue resolution
  • Ensure adherence to RESPA, FHA, HPA, GSE, investor, and insurance-related regulatory guidelines
  • Support internal and external audits, including documentation and remediation
  • Maintain strong controls to mitigate operational and compliance risks across escrow, insurance, and loss draft functions
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Perform all actions in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Convictions of EHL.
  • Provide a "WOW" experience and effectively communicate with associates, clients, partners, and vendors via phone, written communication and/or in person.
  • Seek Feedback: Host regular and timely communication with associates and Manager.
  • Be willing to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
  • Have strong organization skills, the ability to learn quickly, and accuracy/timeliness in completing tasks.
  • Perform all actions in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.
  • Expected to meet productivity guidelines of the position.
  • Effectively use software specific for the position and Microsoft office products.
  • Continuously explore, adopt, and integrate approved AI tools into daily work to improve productivity, accuracy, scalability, and workflow efficiency, while ensuring compliance with company policies, security standards, and data protection requirements.
  • Work well with other members of the EHL team and be willing to fill in when needed.

Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:
  • 4-6 years of escrow servicing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, required. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, preferred.
  • Current knowledge ofescrow analysis, tax servicing, FHA MI, PMI, insurance monitoring, and/or loss draft servicing, required.
  • Hands-on experience with ICE Mortgage Technology platforms (e.g., Encompass, MSP), required.
  • Strong knowledge of current RESPA, FHA, HPA, GSE, investor, and insurance servicing guidelines, required.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and improve operational performance, required.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.), preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data analysis), preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in reporting, data analysis, and system-driven workflows
  • Exercise good judgment and strong character, motivated, hard working.
  • Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors.
  • Good communication skills. Neat, clean, healthy work habits.

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift, which may include extended periods of sitting and/or standing. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, twist, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment.
  • May be required to drive for business purposes and if so, must hold a driver's license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL's Auto Insurance policy.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $46,600 - $87,600 per year depending on a number of factors including location and experience.
Benefits and Perks:
Eligible associates (and their families) have the option to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage of which both the associate and the company contribute towards expenses. Basic Life/AD&D insurance for eligible associates as well as a Short-term Disability benefit are provided by Evergreen. Additional Voluntary Life/AD&D, Long-term Disability benefits and Legal/ID protection plans paid for by the associate are also available. Associates are automatically enrolled in Evergreen's 401(k) plan. Personal Time Off (PTO) of up to 13.34 hours may be earned monthly and associates may enjoy 9 paid holidays each year.
