An Escrow Officer manages the escrow process for real estate transactions, ensuring that all documents, funds, and instructions are handled accurately and in compliance with legal and company requirements. They act as a neutral third party, coordinating between buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents to facilitate a smooth and timely closing.

Responsibilities

  • Review escrow instructions and prepare escrow documents
  • Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate agents to resolve issues
  • Manage deposit of funds and ensure proper disbursement upon closing
  • Conduct title searches and work with title companies to clear any encumbrances
  • Maintain accurate records of all escrow transactions
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Communicate status updates and resolve any disputes or delays
