POSITION OVERVIEW
Fidelity National Financial - Florida Agency Commercial Services Department is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Escrow Officer for our Commercial Closing Department in Maitland, Florida. As a Commercial Escrow Officer, you will play a key role in facilitating and closing complex commercial real estate transactions. You will work closely with a team of experienced title professionals and underwriters, leveraging their decades of combined industry knowledge to ensure smooth, compliant, and timely closings. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in navigating the unique challenges and intricacies of commercial transactions while delivering exceptional service to clients and stakeholders. This team specializes in assisting agents and law firms with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions nationwide. The position is versatile and offers a great opportunity to grow within the department. Our unmatched resources offer plenty of support for this core position!
LOCATION
This position is onsite in our Maitland, Florida office (possible hybrid schedule).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and process escrow transactions in accordance with instructions from real estate agents, brokers, attorneys, lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction.
  • Ensure full compliance with all terms outlined in the Purchase and Sale Agreement, lender instructions, title underwriting guidelines, and company procedures.
  • Review and address all matters listed in the Preliminary Title Commitment, including lien payoffs, Mortgages, and any title-related issues such as probates, divorces, or land use classifications.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation required to close the transaction accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and conduct signing appointments with buyers and sellers, ensuring all parties understand and complete the required paperwork.
  • Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds at closing in accordance with transaction requirements and company policies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in title and escrow operations.
  • Detail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.
  • Solid understanding of industry-standard practices, concepts, and procedures in the title/escrow field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with various computer applications and title production software.
  • Ability to juggle many duties and meet multiple deadlines.
  • High level of stress tolerance and emotional resilience; ability to maintain an even disposition in the face of conflict or in a crisis.
  • Strong energy and drive; self-starting, strong work ethic and work habits, accountable for one's own actions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships with co-workers and the parties to the transaction.
  • Ability to produce a high volume of work accurately on a consistent basis.
  • Good team player; willing to reach out to other staff to assist; willing to accept help from others.
  • Additional hours may be required to meet transaction deadlines.
