Description This position will be filled at one of the following levels depending upon the candidate's qualifications: Strategic Sourcing Specialist I ($61,297.60 - $85,488.00 Annually) This entry-level position supports the strategic sourcing and procurement activities of Metro Water Recovery. They are responsible for the tactical acquisition of goods and basic services

Collaborates with sourcing specialists and stakeholders to ensure Metro's purchasing needs are met and aligned with Metro's mission. Works under the general supervision of the Purchasing Operations Manager. Strategic Sourcing Specialist II ($71,489.60 - $99,736.00 Annually) This position supports the strategic sourcing and procurement activities of Metro Water Recovery

They are responsible for the strategic acquisition of goods and services, including the creation and management of contracts in alignment with Metro's purchasing strategy and Metro's mission. Strategic Sourcing Specialist II Knowledge of: General Procurement methodologies and best practices The Purchase-to-Pay process workflow MS Office software and other business-related software and equipment Skilled at: Working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and inventory control system General market analysis and understanding of general sources of supply Analyzing and summarizing data Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing Problem solving Organizing and managing multiple tasks Prioritizing assigned workload Providing customer service to internal and external stakeholders Ability to: Work independently Identify cost savings opportunities.
