A Day in the Life as a Direct Sourcing Intern, you'll be part of a dynamic team that drives strategic sourcing initiatives and supports the backbone of our business. Reporting to the Sr. Manager/Director, you'll gain hands-on experience in sourcing, project management, and supplier collaboration. Here's what you'll work on:
• Strategic Sourcing Support: Assist with financial reporting, spend analysis, data management, and supplier evaluation.
• Project Management: Experience the new launch process, support value analysis, and contribute to business contingency projects.
• Category Strategy Development: Support the execution of L'Oréal's sourcing process, including category deep-dives and strategy development.
• End-to-End Project Ownership: Manage a strategic project from needs analysis through recommendation and implementation, coordinating with buyers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Documentation & Reporting: Create RFI/RFPs, bid analysis documents, negotiation reports, and maintain internal databases.
• Continuous Learning: Seek and deliver feedback to drive self-development and contribute to team success.
We Are Looking For You'll thrive in this role if you're:
• A Current Student: Junior/Senior undergraduate or first-year master's student with a minimum 3.2 GPA, pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong analytical and communication skills.
• A Team Player: Able to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines.
• Experienced (Preferred): Prior internship experience in a relevant area is a plus.
• Authorized to Work in the U.S.: Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week.
