Purchasing Agent - Keep Operations Moving at Meyer!


Are you detail-oriented, a strong negotiator, and passionate about supply chain efficiency? Meyer is looking for a proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team and play a key role in sourcing quality materials, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring our operations run smoothly and cost-effectively.


Meyer is a growing, family-owned company where you're more than a number, you're family!  Purchasing Agents will work closely with Purchasing Managers and Lead Buyers to place purchase orders for stocking items. This includes continuous monitoring of on-hand inventory, sales statistics, and general forecasting of future trends.


Schedule:

  • Competitive wages, based on experience

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating purchase orders for stocking inventory 
  • Tracking the status of placed orders 
  • Managing basic vendor interactions 
  • Recognizing when to escalate issues to the Manager 
  • Collaborating closely with Managers and the Director to place stock orders

  • Experience performing entry-level purchasing tasks 
  • Proficiency with computers and general technology
