Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to gain operational experience?

As an Entry Level Purchasing Associate, you will ensure efficient procurement, inventory accuracy, and cost control by managing supplier relationships and coordinating with internal teams to support seamless operations. Power-Flo Technologies is committed to being the premier provider of supplies, services, and solutions to the electrical, industrial, mechanical, and automation industries.

On the job training provided. No experience necessary.

Entry Level Purchasing Associate Responsibilities:

  • Verify purchase requisitions by comparing requested items to the master list and clarifying discrepancies
  • Forward available inventory items by confirming stock and coordinating delivery
  • Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and pricing
  • Obtain purchased items by issuing orders to suppliers and monitoring and expediting deliveries
  • Verify receipt of items by matching shipments to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies with suppliers
  • Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation to Accounts Payable
  • Maintain organized purchasing records by sorting and filing documentation
  • Provide purchasing planning and control support by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Adjust minimum and maximum stocking levels based on demand
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Ensure accurate cost data for all purchased items
  • Act as a liaison with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing issues, vendor terms, and price discrepancies
  • Coordinate with the Sales team on product specifications, lead times, and expected delivery dates


Entry Level Purchasing Associate Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and reconciliation skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
  • Strong PC and data entry skills
  • Valid and clean driver’s license for use of company vehicles as needed


Physical Ability Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time (with accommodations upon request)
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, adding machine, and telephone for prolonged periods of time (with accommodations upon request)


This is a full-time, on-site role. Monday - Friday.

Salary Range: $17 - $19/hour
