Job description

Founded in 1970, Greater Philadelphia Health Action (GPHA) is a non-profit healthcare organization committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate and affordable healthcare services to communities experiencing healthcare disparities. Since 1970, GPHA has expanded to become one of the premier providers of ambulatory medical, dental and behavioral healthcare in the Greater Philadelphia area. On-site services include laboratory, pharmacy and language interpretation through interactive video and live interpreters.


Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is presently seeking a full-time Purchasing Manager.


Requirements:

  • Valid drivers license.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in purchasing/procurement inventory control, systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with personnel. Must possess good professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in dealing with vendors.

Qualified candidates must be proficient in:

  • Purchasing, inventory control, vendor selection, and emergency procurement support.
  • Staff supervision, scheduling, crossโ€‘training, performance oversight, establishing department procedures, and managing departmental goals and projects.
  • Accurate recordkeeping, financial stewardship of resources, reporting key cost or pricing changes, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting GPHAโ€™s mission and operational standards.
