IT Administrator / IT Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator / IT Support Specialist to manage and support our company's day-to-day technology needs. This is a hands-on position supporting employees, maintaining systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping ensure reliable and secure business operations.

This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone with professional IT experience, formal training, and the ability to work independently in a small business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for employees
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, phone, and network issues
  • Configure and maintain computers, laptops, and office equipment
  • Manage Microsoft 365 accounts, permissions, and email systems
  • Support Wi-Fi, VPN access, remote desktop tools, and network connectivity
  • Assist with cybersecurity, software updates, and endpoint protection
  • Handle employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and vendor relationships

Requirements

  • 35+ years of professional IT support or systems administration experience
  • Formal IT training and/or industry certifications
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Windows operating systems
    • Microsoft 365
    • Networking fundamentals
    • Remote desktop and remote support tools
    • Hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
