Job description

The Entry Level Mechanical Inspector is responsible for performing in-process inspections on materials used in fabrication, documenting and recording inspection results, and reporting findings in accordance with company procedures. The position also ensures that inspection and measuring equipment is properly calibrated and that all inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved prior to use.
Location: Orrville, OH
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform in-process inspections on materials and components used in fabrication
  • Document and record inspection results accurately and in accordance with company procedures
  • Report inspection findings as required by established standards
  • Verify calibration status and proper condition of inspection and measuring equipment
  • Ensure all inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved prior to use
  • Operate a forklift to assist with setup of materials and components for inspection
  • Package and prepare items for shipping in accordance with standard procedures

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience performing dimensional inspections preferred
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, scales, tape measures, and go/no-go gauges preferred
  • Familiarity with quality control or manufacturing environments preferred
