Press Assistant

Are you looking for a career that provides growth and development? Inland Packaging is a local label and packaging manufacturer seeking a Press Assistant to join our growing team. Inland family-owned business that print labels for brands like Kraft Heinz, New Glarus Brewing, Sprecher's, Leinenkugel's, and Coors Light.

The Press Assistant position is an entry-level position that provides the opportunity to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become an impactful member of the Inland Press department. The Press Assistant must have the desire to advance within the department.

Location: 2009 West Ave S La Crosse, WI 54601

Starting Wage: $18.99 - $20.18 + $1.00/hour shift differential

Shift: Rotating nights: 6:00pm โ€“ 6:00am

Work Schedule: Rotating 12-Hour Shifts including every other weekend:

  • Week One: Three Days โ€“ 36 Hours
  • Week Two: Four Day - 48 Hours

Typical Day in the Role:

The Press Assistant is responsible for tasks that include:

  • Assists in setting up a Gravure printing press for efficient production.
  • Manages the handling, storage, and cleaning of press-related components.
  • Cross-trains with Press Operators to learn the functionality of the Gravure Press.
  • Partners with Press Operators and Maintenance to troubleshoot and resolve production related issues.
  • Works as a team member to meet production and company goals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree required
  • 1 or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to utilize and learn new technology

Physical Requirements: Must meet physical demands identified in work screen protocol, this includes lifting up to 70 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 90 pounds on an occasional basis; Vision corrected to 20/40; Must pass Ishihara Color Assessment.
