As an engineering documentation specialist, your responsibilities include mapping and documenting engineering processes, executing change notices for technical drawings, and helping introduce new products, process improvements, and quality initiatives. You are also responsible for data gathering, project records maintenance, and the oversight of proper documentation in the engineering department. Other duties include data entry for documenting change and revision activity, providing guidance on methods, standardization, and legal requirements, and ensuring the accuracy of specifications in product release documents. In some positions, you may interact with various departments, customers, and suppliers on any quality related issues.
