Job description

Manufacturing Engineering Specialist
As our Manufacturing Engineering Specialist, you will perform a key role in technical support for Manufactured Product orders placed with suppliers. You will work with our internal team in providing supplier and project management support, order tracking, forecasting, and expediting. This can include providing technical support to production processes in order to maximize the quality and reliability of products, and assure they represent the best value in markets served. You will support quality requirements for accurate and complete manufacturing and test documentation, including work with processes and production personnel to detail existing methods and practices as necessary. You will identify, investigate and work to resolve process/schedule deviations and where appropriate assist in the resolution of product nonconformance/failures. This may include working to help suppliers in the definition and implementation of preventative/corrective actions for manufacturing issues. You will provide consultative input to manufacturing area layouts that would help maximize work efficiency and optimize flow of materials. You will coordinate efforts with engineering, production, and outside suppliers and other required sources to effectively complete the job.

Salary: $67,000 to $90,000

Your Challenge
  • Using manufacturing and process engineering principles to improve supplier through complex problem solving.
  • Understanding schedules from project kickoff through delivery for Manufactured Product orders placed with Supplier Partners.
  • Understands computer aided design and drafting of production equipment, tooling and fixtures.
  • Has experience and understanding of machining, casting, and assembly operations.
  • Assists in project-related supplier prioritization.
  • Leads the execution of material acquisition strategies.
  • PO and Project Management review for details and completeness, and schedule review.
  • Provide support in the areas of Schedule Forecasting.
  • Participates in Project Team meetings.

What You Bring
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or experience related manufacturing fields.
  • Three (3) or more years of related technical manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in a highly complex, highly regulated, low volume manufacturing environment.
  • Problem solving, error prevention, and process improvement in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Project.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and administrative abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written/presentational skills.
  • Comfortable in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Leader, Collaborator, Communicator.
  • Ability to convert business needs / requirements into executable strategies.
