Salary: $80,000-$90,000 annual base salary DOE

Job Location:New Brunswick, NJ - Hybrid (Office/Remote)


Role Overview:

TheEnergy Efficiency Advisoris responsible for outreach and education activities to promote the energy efficiency program directed at end customers, contractors, manufacturers, distributors, engineers, architects, and others who provide energy efficiency equipment or services.

How you'll get to contribute:

  • Learn and utilize CRM database for project and lead management.
  • Cultivate, track and manage program leads diligently.
  • Oversee projects submitted by customers/trade allies.
  • Work with an assigned Project Coordinator to help gather required information/documentation to approve/close out a project.
  • Validate and review project workbooks to ensure technical information is entered appropriately in addition to making adjustments based on scope changes or inspections.
  • Place outbound calls to new and existing customers to meet assigned energy saving targets.
  • Develop and deliver program presentations.
  • Work with building owners, property managers and/or facility engineers to provide energy efficiency advice and assistance in participating in energy efficiency programs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the programs strategic direction regarding energy efficiency and the business activities of its customers.
  • Discuss technical elements of energy consuming equipmenti.e., lighting, HVAC, hot water systems.
  • Enter data into spreadsheets and databases to determine energy savings and to manage current projects which may also include collaborating with Energy Engineers as required.
  • When required, provide written summary reports directly to the customer, and summary reports to the client/Program Manager.

Who you are:

  • Must be a New Jersey resident and live in New Jersey
  • Associates or B.S. in Business or Technical field or 5+ years experience in sales, account management, or similar
  • 1+ years experience working with energy efficiency or energy efficient products with a utility, government, non-profit or public agency.
  • Ability to decipher technical jargon and effectively communicate those terms to individuals of varying skill levels.
  • Highly-polished communication skillswritten and oral.
  • Ability to transition quickly between tasks; solid problem-solving capabilities; creativity and attention to detail.
  • Team player with positive attitude and ability to work effectively with different teams.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Site visits will require physical activity for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, standing, walking with occasional, climbing, kneeling, and related field work as required. Field work may require exposure to in indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. This may or may not include extreme temperatures. Follow safety and health policies for site visits.
  • Will travel around NJ and must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record; responsible for maintenance and fees of the transportation vehicle.


Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, architecture, or equivalent
  • Certified Energy Auditor (Commercial) designation
  • Experience in Commercial or Industrial energy efficiency, technical sales, B2B, or construction industry sales

Annual Paid Time Off:

  • Sick Leave: 5 Days (40 Hours)
  • Vacation: 15 Days (120 Hours)
  • Holidays: 11 Federal Holidays (88 Hours) observed in accordance withmcfa's Holiday Schedule
