Requirements


The Opportunity

ACEEE seeks a Corporate Development Associate to help grow and sustain the organization's corporate relationships. This role contributes to fundraising operations across the Ally corporate membership program, conference sponsorships, and other corporate engagement activities. The Development Associate will report to the Corporate Relations Manager and will bring relationship management acumen, strategic outreach, and operational coordination to help build a strong pipeline of corporate partners who share ACEEE's mission.


Key Responsibilities 

 Corporate Engagement 

  • Supports corporate giving across all types, including ACEEE's corporate membership program - the Ally Program, conference sponsorships, and other corporate contributions 
  • Coordinates with ACEEE's Executive Director and program directors to plan and execute webinars, in-person events, and strategic relationship-building opportunities, including event logistics 
  • Manages corporate partner communications and engagement, including targeted outreach, donor recognition, and communications to members and prospects (MailChimp and website) 
  • Contributes to identification and cultivation of corporate prospects and manages onboarding and offboarding processes to strengthen the pipeline and support achievement of annual revenue goals 
  • Tracks corporate prospects and donors in Salesforce, maintains records in Salesforce and SharePoint, and monitors Ally benefit usage to drive member engagement 
  • Supports coordination with the finance team on invoicing, payment follow-up, and corporate giving information 

Conference Sponsorships 

  • Serves as a point of contact for conference sponsorship materials and prospectuses and develops and maintains sponsor and prospect lists in Salesforce 
  • Cultivates relationships with prospective sponsors through personalized outreach and follow-through, coordinating with the conferences team to ensure proper recognition 
  • Coordinates logistics for conference-related meetings and events 

Qualifications 

  • An interest in building relationships with partners through a partner-centered approach.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Close attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to learn and apply ACEEE's business processes and systems, including Salesforce and MailChimp.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience required. 
  • Previous experience with event management, customer service, corporate giving, sponsorships, or fundraising is preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility.


Preferred Start Date: On or about July 2026. This position is based in Washington, DC as a hybrid position with 2 days in the office.   

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary range is $57,378 - $71,722 and includes ACEEE's generous benefits package, which includes health, dental and vision, disability, and life insurance coverage; a 403(b) retirement plan; transportation and bike share benefits, three (3) weeks of vacation in the first year and four (4) weeks thereafter, 11 federal holidays and office-wide closure for the week between Christmas to New Year's. This is a full-time, exempt position.
