Overview

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support accounting staff, including assigning work, providing guidance, and monitoring performance.
  • Manage and perform monthly close processes, financial reporting, and related accounting procedures.
  • Ensure accounts payable obligations are processed accurately and paid in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable activity and coordinate collection efforts to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable payroll tax and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for financial and ERP systems, ensuring accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP and company standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
  • Perform and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting records.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place over accounting transactions and financial reporting processes.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Analyze financial results, budgeting variances, and key performance indicators.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and other accounting-related projects as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience required.
  • 3+ years of accounting leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience managing monthly close and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP/accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus but not required.
  • Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing team responsibilities.
