Posting Summary
The School of Nursing is seeking non-tenured track faculty to teach within the Doctor of Nursing Program (DNP). The successful candidate will become a valued faculty member of the Division of Advanced Nursing Practice with primary responsibilities of teaching DNP Core Courses for students across a variety of different specialty tracks.
The position will be based primarily in Newark, NJ. We offer highly competitive salaries and benefits; start-up packages are available. Successful candidates will demonstrate the expertise and commitment to advance nursing practice through teaching excellence, scholarship, clinical expertise, and advisement/ mentorship of DNP students. We are seeking visionary clinicians who will make solid contributions to the academic life of the School.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
DNP, PhD, or other doctorate degree (doctorate in progress may be considered)
Eligibility for appointment at least at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor non-tenured track
Applicants should have experience in project planning, quality improvement, data management, evidence translation
Outstanding writing skills
Experience with in-person and online teaching
Ability to mentor graduate students
Interest and demonstrated expertise in teaching identified courses that complement the programs of study at the School of Nursing
Certifications/Licenses
  • Registered Nurse (or willing to acquire NJ RN license) is preferred but not required. For non-nurse applicants, familiarity with advanced practice nursing and healthcare highly desirable.
