While this position requires a solid culinary foundation, the Culinary Administrator will support menu management, recipe development, inventory systems, and culinary administration. Job Summary

What You'll Do:

As the Culinary Administrator, you'll serve as the administrative backbone of the culinary operation, partnering closely with chefs and managers to ensure recipes, menus, inventory, and food standards are accurately maintained. The Culinary Administrator ensures recipes are accurate, menus are compliant, inventory is organized, and the culinary operation runs efficiently behind the scenes while supporting an exceptional guest experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage recipe entry, menu creation, and maintenance within SB68/Cafe Manager, ensuring recipes are accurate, complete, and production-ready.
  • Build, edit, borrow, and maintain recipes while ensuring proper yields, measurements, naming conventions, and ingredient accuracy.
  • Support menu planning in alignment with Bon Appetit Food Standards, wellness initiatives, and culinary principles.
  • Manage recipe and menu updates for the onsite sports bar and other dining concepts.
  • Assist with food ordering, inventory management, product maintenance, and purchasing support.
  • Review menus for accuracy and proactively identify and resolve recipe or ingredient issues.
  • Ensure nutrition, ingredient, and allergen information is accurately reflected in recipes and menus.
  • Support culinary leaders with administrative projects, reporting, documentation, and operational organization.
  • Assist with team coordination and day-to-day kitchen operations, helping maintain accountability and operational consistency despite having no direct reports.
  • Collaborate with chefs, managers, and regional wellness partners to maintain recipe integrity and program compliance.
  • Help train and support culinary associates on recipe standards and Cafe Manager processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary experience.
  • Culinary background with experience in high-volume foodservice, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or hospitality.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and computer-based applications.
  • Experience working with recipe management, inventory, purchasing, or foodservice management systems is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, standardized recipes and operational instructions.
  • Understanding of recipe costing, batch yields, weight and volume conversions, and production scaling.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and food allergen management.
  • Experience with ordering, inventory control, and purchasing.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to influence and support culinary teams without direct supervisory responsibility.
