POSITION: CULINARY SERVER
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: PART-TIME
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Culinary Server to join our team at Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere located in Dallas, Texas. The Culinary Server serves meals and beverages to residents and guests of the culinary venues, catered functions, and special events. The Culinary Server assists in creating an extraordinary culinary experience for residents and guests.
Compensation & Benefits: We are hiring for a part-time and/or full-time, hourly position with a salary of $15.50+ per hour. In addition, Bay 9 Holdings LLC dba Edgemere offers competitive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits, generous PTO and holiday vacation time, and 401K.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:
  • Greet residents and guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Accurately take resident and guest orders, entering menu selections into a point-of-sale or similar tracking electronic system.
  • Serve meals and beverages in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Fill room service menu orders and expedite delivery and ensure all room service trays are retrieved at conclusion of dining time.
  • Clear tables during and after residents and guests have concluded dining.
  • Arrange table settings appropriately and efficiently.
  • Stock pantry areas with adequate supplies, complete assigned side jobs and perform thorough cleaning of the culinary venues.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • No educational requirement. Must have ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements, and follow written and oral instructions.
  • No experience required. A willingness to learn is needed.
  • Food Handler certification obtained within 60 days of hire as required by state guidelines if state certification program exists.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors, and team members.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: The physical activities of this position require effective speaking, walking, standing, carrying, bending, twisting, reaching, and smelling. This position often involves light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned. The functions of this position are conducted in a temperature-controlled environment and not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to deal with and find resolution to problems and maintain a productive working relationship with team members and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others. It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities on a daily basis while being responsive to needs as they arise.
