Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize recipe databases, menu files, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with menu development, formatting, and distribution for daily operations and special events.
  • Coordinate purchasing requests, vendor communications, and inventory documentation.
  • Prepare reports on food costs, labor metrics, inventory levels, and operational performance.
  • Support scheduling, payroll documentation, and employee records for culinary team members.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and health department requirements.
  • Coordinate logistics for catering functions, banquets, and special events.
  • Serve as a liaison between culinary operations, human resources, and other departments.
  • Assist with onboarding and training documentation for new culinary employees.
  • Manage departmental correspondence, meeting agendas, and administrative projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Administrative or culinary operations experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with scheduling and inventory software is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Understanding of culinary terminology, menu development, and food cost controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personnel and financial information.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Flexibility to support evenings, weekends, or special events as needed.
  • Bilingual is a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in an office and culinary environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and computer work.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to walk through kitchen and event spaces as required.

Work Environment:
This position operates in both office and food service environments and may require exposure to varying temperatures, kitchen equipment, and busy event operations.
