NON-CDL BOX TRUCK XL DELIVERY DRIVER SAFETY & SKILL-BASED ROLE

Tactical Distribution Management LLC is a Veteran and Minority-owned Amazon Delivery Service Partner based in Durham, NC. We deliver, pickup, and install/assemble oversized packages across the Triangle and surrounding areasand were looking for physically capable, safety-focused drivers who take pride in doing the job right.

This is not just driving. This is a hands-on, skilled role that combines safe driving, product handling, and in-home assembly/installation.

We operate out of HRD2 Amazon Delivery Station (805 S Briggs Ave, Durham, NC 27703)

What Youll DoAs an Box Truck XL Delivery Driver, you will:Safe Driving & Vehicle Responsibility
  • Operate a 16-ft or 26-ft box truck safely across routes
  • Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety standards
  • Maintain a clean driving record and strong safety metrics
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
  • Keep your truck clean, fueled, and ready for daily operations

Delivering & Handling

  • Safely load, transport, and deliver oversized packages (furniture, appliances, gym equipment, etc.)
  • Ensure all items are securely loaded and handled with care to prevent damage
  • Follow proper lifting and safety techniques

  • Work as part of a 2-person team to complete deliveries efficiently

Assembly & Installation

  • Provide in-home delivery, assembly, and installation at customer locations
  • Use tools and follow manufacturer instructions to properly assemble products
  • Inspect items before installation to ensure quality and prevent damage
  • Test assembled products to confirm they are functioning properly before leaving

Customer Interaction

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers
  • Solve problems on-site while maintaining a positive attitude

Physical & Skill Expectations

  • Lift up to 70 lbs solo / 300 lbs team lift
  • Push/pull heavy items using dollies and equipment
  • Perform repetitive lifting, carrying, and stair climbing
  • Maintain a brisk pace (15-minute mile walking ability) throughout the day
  • Comfortable working and driving in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  • Ability to safely assemble products using tools and instructions
  • Maintain focus and safety during long, active shifts
Basic Requirements
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • 21+ years old
  • Valid North Carolina Drivers License (NON-CDL)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (safety matters here)
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain certification
  • Comfortable using smartphones, GPS, and delivery apps
  • Ability to pass background check

Schedule

  • 10-hour shifts starting at 9:00 AM
  • Routes operate 7 days a week (1 weekend day required)
  • Dispatch from Amazon HRD2 Station (Durham, NC)
