Job Summary
The Returns Processor (Distribution Associate) is responsible for providing value to our customer by accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing returned products. This includes verifying condition, updating system data, and ensuring all returned materials meet BD standards for safety, accuracy, documentation, and productivity.
Shift 1st Shift, Monday through Friday
MondayFriday: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM
Required Overtime: Weekdays & Saturdays
OT Hours: 4:00 AM 2:00 PM or 5:00 AM 3:00 PM
10-Panel Drug Test Required-Candidate must completed the drug screening within 48 hours of acceptance of the job offer.
Background checks must be completed before the candidate can start the job assignment.
High School or GED is preferred, not required.
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
Receive, inspect, and sort returned products based on condition and company guidelines.
Identify damage, defects, expiration, or discrepancies on returned goods.
Accurately document return reason codes, product details, and disposition outcomes.
Process returns through RF technology and warehouse management systems.
Repackage, re-label, and prepare items for restocking, quarantine, or scrap.
Ensure accurate data entry and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Process customer orders including scanning barcodes, picking cases, and labeling boxes as needed.
Palletize orders by scanning, retrieving, and placing completed orders on pallets.
Verify accuracy of shipments and perform packaging activities.
May perform dock manifest duties including scanning completed pallets and operating shrink wrap equipment.
May operate the ground/manual manifest station.
Become knowledgeable of other warehouse positions and assist as required.
Quality
Perform all work at a high accuracy level; resolve errors following established procedures.
Check and count products for accuracy, damage, and contamination.
Participate in Lean initiatives.
Re-Warehousing
Identify pallet ID tags and document required information.
Write clearly, match numbers, and verify correct location codes.
Order Picking
Accurately pick product while bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Physical Inventories
Participate in inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
Equipment
Operate all designated material handling equipment safely.
Report all damage to product, equipment, or company property immediately.
Maintain equipment cleanliness according to maintenance guidelines.
Reporting / Measurements
Complete all warehouse and returns activity records accurately and on time.
Review operating goals and daily performance metrics.
Safety / Sanitation / Housekeeping
Follow all safety standards, including 5S and Lean principles.
Maintain clean, orderly work areas.
Report injuries, hazards, and unsafe conditions immediately.
Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
Cross Training
Learn responsibilities of other roles as assigned.
Provide backup support during absences or peak volume periods.
Miscellaneous / Other
Participate in the daily stretching program.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Follow Good Documentation Practices at all times.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED, preferred.
1 year of relevant experience, preferred.
Experience with MHE, preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to obtain an electric pallet jack certification.
Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
Required to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
General distribution knowledge.
High school diploma, GED, or 1 year experience required
Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment

Associate must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have sufficient hearing to safely operate MHE [Material Handling Equipment] in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
Work Environment: (if applicable)
The noise level is moderate to loud. There will almost always be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations and potential temperature excursions. Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
