Job Summary:

The Content Platforms & Operations Asset and Media Services Team is seeking a Manager of Product Management to lead the team responsible for the development, execution, and long-term success of products that enable the acquisition, inventory management, and distribution of The Walt Disney Company's world-class content through the internal media supply chain. In this role, you will help shape the future of the content supply chain that powers Disney's content distribution worldwide, as well as operational workflows into emerging content experiences and technologies.

Serving as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders, design, and engineering, you will define product vision and strategy, translate customer and partner needs into scalable product capabilities, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. You and your team will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and key partners to reimagine how technology can be leveraged to drive the next evolution of our business.

This role demands strong analytical thinking, deep user empathy, and the ability to prioritize effectively across innovation, business value, and technical feasibility. This Manager of Product will be responsible for aligning stakeholders and working across multiple product systems and react proactively to emerging industry trends and technologies. Success requires thriving in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, with a strong attention to detail and a bias toward execution.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Manages a team of Product Managers and is accountable for their performance, results and team strategy within the acquisition and distribution domain. Responsible for the tactical execution, direct management of the team, team results and operational delivery of strategy requirements.
  • Utilize modern product discovery methods to gain a deep understanding of the problem space and develop solutions leveraging those insights
  • Drives the product portfolio utilizing a strong product intuition, awareness of market trends, and user needs within the media acquisition and distribution domain
  • Partners with senior leadership to drive the strategy, execution and innovation for product design within the product portfolio while leading the direct team in the execution of their product work.
  • Guides the team in using data and analytics to inform product decisions, measure success and maximize impact. Own definition of cost/benefit analysis and prepare lean business cases using data and objective product standard measurements
  • Excellent storyteller with data with the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms for buy-in and collaboration with team members, engineering, design, and other domains to create products that offer long-term value for our business.
  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of product solutions and their subsequent performance. Establish and drive towards realistic product targets (OKRs) for the domain space that ladder up to the larger organizational operating goals
  • Active use of product frameworks and tools to document information in a structured way (user journey maps, flow, information architecture, etc.) and drives the prioritization of new projects across multiple teams, aligning with stakeholders around solutions that meet both technical feasibility and business impact.
  • Excels at orchestrating complex, multi-team execution; balancing short-term delivery with long-term product evolution.
  • Own and evangelize system processes, user guides, and training materials on product features where needed.
  • Develop and nurture cross-domain relationships built on mutual trust and respect
  • Create an environment that inspires passion and innovation
  • Mentor and invest in the growth of other team members

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with 3-5 years of people management experience; preferably within digital and/or media supply chains
  • Strong product acumen with deep platform knowledge and technical fluency with a deep expertise in media services, content delivery, or digital platforms
  • Experience conducting user research and identifying customer needs to inform product decisions, across multiple domains and workflow streams.
  • Demonstrated experience working with engineering, QA, design, and project management teams to deliver products and user enhancements. Comfortable working with bi-coastal and international teams. Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills within and outside of the direct domain and organization.
  • Ability to articulate product vision, strategy, and updates to stakeholders, and appropriately tailor presentation style and information to various interest groups.
  • Understanding of the latest product management frameworks and theories. Basic technical knowledge to effectively communicate with engineering teams Understanding of UX principles to create user-centered products. Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Lean methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative development
  • Strong problem-solving skills and informed decision-making abilities, in a digital organization. Experience evaluating emerging technology solutions for fit and viability for differing workstreams and timeline requirements.
  • Strong experience managing and analyzing product performance data, defining KPIs, and making data-driven decisions. Possessing analytical and quantitative skills to develop project cases and map product development priorities
  • Experience driving strategic initiatives and navigating day-to-day decisions/executions. Working with tools, systems, and processes that support go-to-market delivery. Driving feature prioritization based on business value/risk to effort ratio (ROI). Demonstrated strength in strategy development and building action plans, including creating strategies by monitoring guest behavior through analytics and consumer testing.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and pivot effectively as business strategies, operational needs, and product priorities evolve
  • Highly self-motivated, able to work autonomously under tight timelines while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Experience mentoring and developing a team of junior Product Managers or cross-functional teams to execute against organizational strategy and product objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with media operations, emerging content experiences and/or technologies
  • Strong passion for and interest in Disney brands and storytelling
  • Solid understanding of media production workflows, digital video pipelines, and/or consumer-facing video product features
  • Knowledge of and experience with product management for media production, post production, asset transformation, and/or distribution
  • Experience utilizing AI Tooling and Models in Product development
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
The base salary for this position in Glendale, CA is $171,600.00 - $230,100.00. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
