Lunar Outpost is dedicated to creating a permanent presence in space, while also driving positive impacts here on Earth. We are currently seeking aProgram Manager Deputy LTVS Program Manager to contribute to our mission in a dynamic startup environment. As a Deputy LTVS Program Manager, you will contribute to the most exciting chapter of human space exploration. You will execute the program vision to develop, build, and deliver a Lunar Terrain Vehicle to the surface of the Moon by 2029, capable of carrying NASA astronauts and payloads, and establishing infrastructure on the lunar surface. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Program Manager inthe orchestration of multiple projectskey to the critical path of the program
  • Manage program milestone reviews by establishing review successcriteria,planningpeerreviews, managing stakeholder feedback, and tracking progress
  • Lead evaluation and maintenance ofprogram schedule, budget, technical goals, and milestone readiness in collaborationwith Integrated Product Team Leads and LTVS Chief Engineer
  • Track key performance indicators across the program
  • Interface withNASAtocommunicate program status andensureprogram deliverables meet customer needs
  • Support team scalingand organizationstructuredevelopment
  • Improve program efficiency throughrefiningexecution processes and effectively prioritizing program-level tasking andobjectivesin response tonew information
  • Keep human safetyat the forefront of allprogramactivities
  • Coordinate internal project activities and facilitate communication between project teams and supporting departments
  • Lead internal meetings to align priorities, surface risks, and troubleshoot blockers
  • Ensure documentation, reporting, and data are accurate and accessible tointernalstakeholders
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, procedures, and quality standards


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years of project management or coordination experience in a technical or engineering environment, including management of scope, schedule, and budget
  • Experience with Class A spaceflight missions, humanspaceflight, orhuman-rated vehicle development
  • Strong leadership history
  • Ability tounderstand customer vision, align priorities with companyobjectives, and translatethis information into clear programmatic goals andobjectives.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools(e.g., MS Project, Jira)
  • Proven ability to work across multiple teams and balance competing priorities
  • Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet criticaldeadlines
  • Subcontractor Management experience building a collaborative and innovative environment, establishingpriorities, and driving execution within the program team
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMPor equivalent
  • Experience as a cost account manager
  • Experience applying earned value management
  • Familiarity with principles and execution of Model-Based Systems Engineering
