Job description

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for administering, analyzing, and supporting Marco's employee benefits programs. This role ensures all benefits offerings are compliant, competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational goals. The Benefits Analyst manages daily operations, supports vendor relationships, provides employee education, and maintains data integrity across benefit platforms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and related processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA), maintain accurate records, and support internal audits.
  • Analyze benefit programs, utilization trends, cost drivers, and employee feedback; recommend enhancements to ensure competitiveness and value.
  • Serve as a key liaison with benefit carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators; assist with escalations and maintain positive vendor relationships.
  • Support the annual open enrollment process including planning, configuration, communication, execution, and issue resolution.
  • Provide guidance and education to employees and leaders regarding benefit options, eligibility, enrollment, and coverage details.
  • Assist in resolving benefit claims issues, coverage disputes, and complex employee benefit situations.
  • Maintain accurate benefit data across HRIS, payroll, and vendor systems; monitor file feeds and troubleshoot discrepancies.
  • Support employee leaves of absence (LOA) processes and related benefit impacts.
  • Conduct benefits benchmarking, market research, and cost analysis to ensure competitive offerings.
  • Support the management of workers' compensation claims to ensure legally compliant and timely processing.
  • Identify process improvements and technology enhancements to optimize benefits administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree and six years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous HRIS experience, preferably with ADP.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of benefits program administration and vendor coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail with strong data integrity focus.
  • Ability to understand system workflows and data relationships across HRIS and vendor platforms.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to improve processes through technology.
  • Skilled in translating data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure with frequent interruptions and changing deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization.

Pay Range: $68,633 - $106,381 annually
