Job description

The Transformation Director is accountable for driving delivery of URUS's highest-priority enterprise initiatives, with particular emphasis on executing the URUS 2030 strategy and enabling successful M&A integrations. The role combines strong strategic program leadership with practical execution and change leadership to ensure complex, cross-functional efforts result in clear, measurable business impact.ย

Reporting to the CIO and partnering closely with the M&A Director, this role acts as a central driver of transformation across the organization. Grounded in PMO discipline but not constrained by traditional, process-heavy models, the focus is on setting a clear standard for effective execution, energizing leaders, reinforcing accountability, and coaching leaders and teams to improve execution.ย

The Transformation Director will operate fluidly between the executive and operational levels-crafting and communicating compelling narratives, aligning leadership around priorities, enabling transparent performance reporting, and engaging directly in delivery when required, particularly for M&A integration and other mission-critical transformation efforts.ย

RESPONSIBILITIESย ย

Enterprise Transformation & Strategy Executionย

  • Lead the execution of the URUS 2030 strategy by translating strategic priorities into clear, coordinated, and actionable enterprise programs.ย

  • Ensure strategic initiatives are well-sequenced, resourced, and delivering intended business value.ย

  • Partner with executive sponsors, brand leaders, functional leaders, and regional teams to drive aligned execution across the enterprise.ย

  • Act as an executional "force multiplier" for leadership-helping leaders turn ambition into results.ย

M&A Integration Leadershipย

  • Work closely with the M&A Director to plan and execute post-merger integration activities across people, processes, technology, and governance.ย

  • Provide hands-on leadership for integration programs, particularly in early stages or high-risk areas.ย

  • Establish clear integration of roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics.ย

  • Ensure acquisitions are integrated in a way that accelerates value realization while preserving URUS culture and strategic intent.ย

Program Leadership, Governance & Reportingย

  • Establish pragmatic governance and execution frameworks that enable visibility, accountability, and effective decision-making without unnecessary bureaucracy.ย

  • Drive strong, clear, and compelling reporting on transformation progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes for executive leadership and the Board.ย

  • Monitor cross-initiative dependencies and proactively address risks and execution gaps.ย

  • Ensure leaders are held accountable for commitments, while providing support and coaching to improve execution capability.ย

Leadership Influence, Storytelling & Change Enablementย

  • Serve as a visible transformation leader who can inspire, align, and mobilize leaders and teams around shared goals.ย

  • Develop and communicate compelling narratives that explain the "why," "what," and "how" of transformation initiatives.ย

  • Coach senior leaders and initiative owners on effective execution, change leadership, and delivery discipline.ย

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across strategic programs.ย

Value Realization & Continuous Improvementย

  • Define success measures for transformation initiatives, including benefits realization and strategic impact.ย

  • Track outcomes against expectations and support course correction when needed.ย

  • Capture lessons learned and elevate execution maturity across the organization over time.ย

REQUIREMENTSย

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, Technology, or a related field required.ย

  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred, but not requiredย

  • 10+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional strategic programs, enterprise transformations, or large-scale initiatives.ย

  • Strong background in program leadership, transformation management, consulting, or similar roles focused on strategy execution.ย

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading M&A integrations is strongly preferred.ย

  • Proven ability to operate credibly with executive leadership and influence without direct authority.ย

  • Track record of translating strategy into action and delivering measurable business outcomes.ย

  • Experience working in global, matrixed organizations across regions and business units.ย

  • Industry experience in agribusiness, agriculture technology, life sciences, or related sectors is beneficial but not required.ย

  • Deep understanding of what effective strategic execution looks like in complex organizations.ย

  • Ability to balance structure and flexibility-applying rigor without over-engineering processes.ย

  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to engage and align senior leaders.ย

  • Comfort "rolling up sleeves" to directly support high-priority initiatives or integrations when needed.ย

  • Strong judgment, resilience, and ability to navigate ambiguity and change.ย

  • Financial and business acumen sufficient to evaluate trade-offs, priorities, and value realization.ย
