Job description

Maintenance Mechanic

1st shift 4:30am- 1:30pm is a Monday to Friday

Pay rate is $18-$23hr- depending on experience

Position Description:

Perform duties to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment, building facilities and grounds.

This includes but is not limited to processing and packaging equipment.


Primary Responsibilities:

Ensures operation of plant machinery utilizing both electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment

Completes preventive/predicative maintenance procedures

Ensures duties of the position are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner

Controls downtime by completing needed repairs and part replacements in a timely fashion

Provides mechanical maintenance information by informing production workers of routine techniques, answering

questions, and responding to requests

Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed

Requirements:

Able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff

Minimum 1-4 years related maintenance experience

Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, VFDs and

PLCs

Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

Valid state driver’s license

Able to work overtime and weekends as needed

Basic math and computer skills

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift in excess of 40 pounds daily

Able to tolerate extreme temperatures

Able to operate variety of hand and power tools on a frequent, daily basis

Able to occasionally climb, crouch, kneel and crawl to service variety of equipment
