We are looking for a talented Landscape Architect | Sr. Project Manager for our Raleigh office. Below are the responsibilities for this role:

DESIGN

  • Responsible for quality designs, generating new concepts and ideas, and translating concepts into design solutions on a variety of project types
  • Ability to utilize hand sketching and digital tools to quickly vision a variety of concepts during team meetings, client meetings, charrettes, etc.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement design on projects of varying scale and complexity
  • Approaches design from a storytelling perspective

MANAGEMENT

  • Assist the Planning Director and Team Leader in overseeing active landscape architecture projects within the Raleigh office
  • Partner with discipline leads to lead and supervise the project team while delegating assignments 
  • Manage project budget and schedule to achieve overall project goals
  • Prepare and participate in interviews and negotiate fees with prospective clients
  • Coordinate with Marketing to prepare qualification packages and proposals including scope, fee, and defined team
  • Conduct site visits and complete field reports and site analyses
  • Identify ways to advance design, production, client service, communication, etc., to continuously improve how well both the Studio and the Firm function
  • Work with the Accounting Department to ensure accounts are accurate, Accounts Receivable are collected, and profitability is obtained
  • Attend weekly Studio meeting
  • Assist in the recruitment, staffing, and mentoring of personnel within the Studio
  • Mentor staff and support the Project Designers
  • Communicate and work closely with the Charlotte office to share opportunities and support each other's efforts

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Assist in leading the Studio's business development
  • Assist the Planning Director with actively marketing Cline to new and existing clients
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with city and county jurisdictions
  • Identify potential teaming opportunities with architects, engineers, and other industry professionals
  • Become involved in trade organizations, associations, and other committees outside the office
  • Keep current on industry trends, Planning Department initiatives, and development restrictions to maintain and advance the goals of the company  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BLA or MLA
  • Licensed Landscape Architect registered in the State of North Carolina, or CLARB certified with the ability to attain reciprocity licensure in other states as required
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience
  • Experience in Parks & Recreation and Multifamily Development
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • High-level skills in site planning, planting design, layout, and construction detailing
  • Understanding of and ability to apply current, sustainable site concepts
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy in all work
  • Must have the ability to interact positively with others, to solve problems, and to constructively communicate those solutions
  • Experience with managing and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Hand sketching ability
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantage Point a plus
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Lumion, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.
