New Leaf Behavioral Health is looking for a Development Associate to help us share our story and grow our community of supporters. This role is a great fit for someone who is early in their career or looking to transition into the nonprofit world. Youโ€™ll be the voice of the organization across our digital platforms and the hub for our fundraising efforts.
Weโ€™re looking for someone who is creative, organized, and genuinely enjoys connecting with people. If youโ€™re a strong communicator who is ready to learn the ropes of nonprofit development, marketing, and public relations, weโ€™d love to meet you.
Responsibilities:
  • Digital Storytelling: Manage our social media presence and monthly newsletters. Youโ€™ll create engaging content that highlights our mission, updates our community on our activities, and keeps New Leaf top-of-mind for our supporters.
  • Donor Outreach: Assist in making "the ask." Youโ€™ll help coordinate fundraising appeals and reach out to potential donors to share how their contributions make an impact.
  • Supporter Stewardship: Ensure our donors feel appreciated. Youโ€™ll be responsible for timely follow-ups, thank-you notes, and maintaining positive relationships with the people who support our work.
  • Administrative Support: Handle the "behind-the-scenes" mechanics of fundraising, including processing donations, updating our CRM (donor database), and ensuring our records are accurate and transparent.
  • Content Creation: Help draft blogs, press releases, and promotional materials that increase awareness of our services and our impact on the community.
