Job description

JOB TITLE: IT Support Technician – Printer & Device Support (Hospital Onsite)
LOCATION: Torrington, CT
TYPE: Temp-to-Hire | ONSITE
SCHEDULE: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Overview

Seeking an IT Support Technician to provide onsite printer and device support within a hospital environment. This role is ideal for candidates with general IT Help Desk or desktop support experience who are comfortable troubleshooting hardware, assisting end users, and managing basic device maintenance. Printer-specific experience is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve printer issues, including paper jams, break/fix, and toner delivery
• Provide onsite IT-related support for printers and basic device troubleshooting
• Log service requests in Ricoh Trac and escalate advanced issues as needed
• Support new printer installations; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Maintain onsite inventory of devices, parts, and consumables
• Communicate updates and issue resolutions to hospital staff
• Perform meter reads and maintain fleet documentation

Qualifications

• Previous IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or hardware troubleshooting experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic PC knowledge and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work onsite in a hospital setting
• High School Diploma required; technical training preferred
