Job description

We are seeking a detail oriented and technically savvy Desktop Administrator to join our IT Team in our New York City Office. In this role, you will provide IT support both on-site and virtually to end-users locally and globally. This role requires on-site presence 5 days a week.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot software and hardware end-user issues utilizing the team’s ticketing system

  • Push routine software updates and patches for both PC and Mac products to maintain security and performance

  • Set up new hires for success through deployment of equipment, software, and server access; lead comprehensive IT onboarding meetings with new hires

  • Offboard employees by revoking systems access, updating security protocols, and collecting firm equipment

  • Manage physical workspace logistics through computer and phone equipment moves, desk height adjustments, and ergonomic equipment installations

  • Procure and manage IT supplies such as printers, laptops, computer parts, peripherals, and ergonomic equipment; maintain real-time inventory of hardware and software assets

  • Prepare A/V capabilities and provide technical support for critical presentations and firm-wide meetings

  • Will be required to lift items up to 30 lbs and work in physically constrained positions, including accessing areas under desks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience managing IT helpdesk ticket lifecycles and prioritizing requests in a fast-paced environment

  • Direct experience working within modern ITSM or Service Desk systems to track, document, and report on IT tasks

  • Excellent customer service including the ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and empathetically to users of all technical skill levels

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365 administration, including Outlook and Teams

  • Hands-on experience with disk imaging tools and the automated deployment of standardized OS builds

  • Ability to clearly document technical processes through concise user guides and internal SOPs to build a robust knowledge base

  • Experience with MacOS is nice to have
